We invoke a spell to stop time. In this suspended reality, we grapple with our existence in a time-based world. We are in-between. Between reverence and play. Between contentment and longing. Between celebration and elegy.

“All Time Stop Now” is about embracing uncertainty. When technological development moves faster than ever against the backdrop of social and environmental disorder, “All Time Stop Now” asks us to slow down and listen.

Originating from contemplative improvisations, Luisa developed these songs over the course of three years and three silent retreats. The process yielded spiritually-infused anthems encompassing beauty, sorrow, loss, and discovery.

Nodding to influences such as Enya’s non-lexical vocals, her childhood experiences in liturgical music, and the contemporary resurgence of kankyo-ogaku (Japanese environmental music), Luisa distills references through her signature prism of mutant pop to reveal something entirely new and of this present moment.

“All Time Stop Now” debuts eponymously as a touring opera in Fall 2023, which includes album collaborators Peter Hernández (Julius Smack) and Mark Golamco. An extension to the standalone album, the opera revolves around a cast of futuristic characters who cast a spell to stop time.
